2026 MG Majestor teased
JSW MG Motor India has released a new teaser of its upcoming flagship SUV, the MG Majestor, ahead of its official launch on February 12. Positioned above the MG Gloster, the Majestor will take on rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq to name a few.
While MG is yet to officially confirm the powertrain details, the Majestor is expected to borrow its mechanicals from the Gloster. This means it is likely to be powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215 PS and 478 Nm of torque. In the Gloster, this engine is paired with an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system, and a similar setup is expected for the Majestor. The lower-output 2.0-litre single-turbo diesel engine, which makes 161 PS and 373 Nm and is available with rear-wheel drive in the Gloster, and that is unlikely to be offered on the Majestor.
On the design front, the teaser video showcases the Majestor's exterior in a black shade. It features a large, upright grille with the MG logo at the centre, a faux silver skid plate, and split lighting elements. The SUV gets L-shaped LED DRLs that are not connected, along with vertically stacked LED headlamps. Also visible are large alloy wheels, which are expected to be 18-19 inches in size. MG had earlier showcased the Majestor at the 2025 Auto Expo, though the interior was not revealed at the time.
In terms of features, the MG Majestor is expected to offer a premium and tech-heavy cabin. Likely highlights include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, a multifunctional steering wheel, premium sound system, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, automatic climate control, Type-C charging ports, multiple drive modes and a 360-degree camera system.
