2026 MG Hector teased ahead of its unveiling on December 12
The 2026 MG Hector has been teased by the brand ahead of its reveal on December 12, the teaser shows cosmetic updates for the front fascia but the overall silhouette remains the same.

The teaser video showcases new chrome-garnished front grille with vertically stacker LED headlights for the front face. We can expect a new design for the alloy wheels to be introduced and the MG logo is likely to be reworked for a better look. The full width LED taillight could also be tweaked for a new look but is expected to be carried over from the outgoing version. We can also expect new paintjob options offered with the new version.
The current version gets features like a digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, an engine start/stop button with Smart Key, and more than 75 connected car functions. An updated infotainment with some more features are expected with the new version.
The powertrain options include a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 143PS and 250Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre engine producing 170PS and 350Nm of torque. The MG Hector takes on the likes of the Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari and the Toyota Innova Hycross in the Indian SUV market.
