2025 BMW iX3 Breaks Cover

The 2025 BMW iX3 second generation has been showcased, and it supports 800V charging, which translates to a 350 km range top-up in 10 minutes.

The new BMW iX3 features a 108.7 kWh high-voltage battery, offering a WLTP range of up to 805 km (500 miles) and supporting fast charging of up to 400 kW. It comes with dual electric motors producing 345 kW (469 PS) and 645 Nm of torque, enabling 0–100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The iX3 also includes bidirectional charging for Vehicle-to-Load, Vehicle-to-Home, and Vehicle-to-Grid applications. There is an optional electric tow hitch that allows the iX3 to tow up to 2,000 kg.

Inside, BMW Panoramic iDrive integrates displays, touch, voice, and steering-wheel controls into a unified interface. Four high-performance "superbrains" manage driving dynamics, automated driving, infotainment, and comfort features. The cabin offers a spacious layout with a floating instrument panel, customisable My Modes, optional panoramic glass roof, and multiple interior design options. Driver assistance features include motorway and city assistants, lane control, and adaptive cruise control with symbiotic AI interaction.

Other noteworthy mentions include 17.9-inch centre mounted touchscreen that runs on the latest BMW's Operating System X, 520 litres of bootspace that can be expanded to 1,750 litres after folding the rear seats, and a 58-litre storage compartment under the bonnet to name a few.

The new BMW iX3 is 4,782 mm long, 1,895 mm wide, and 1,635 mm tall. It rides on 20-inch wheels, and optional 20-22-inch light alloy wheels are also on offer. Other exterior mentions include new vertically stacked BMW kidney grilles, flush door handles, angular wheel arches in body colour, wide tail lights, sporty spoiler and bumper to name a few. The new aerodynamic tweaks to the body has resulted in a drag coefficient of 0.24Cd.

The new iX3 50 xDrive will be produced at BMW's Debrecen plant from autumn 2025. European deliveries start spring 2026, US deliveries in summer 2026, and a China-specific variant will follow in summer 2026. This unveil marks the start of BMW's Neue Klasse rollout, which will influence 40 new models and updates by 2027. The new BMW iX3 locks horns with the likes of the Audi Q6 e-tron, and the much awaited Mercedes GLC EV to name a few.
