2024 Triumph Tiger 900 range India launch today

Triumph Motorcycles India has set the stage to launch the refreshed Tiger 900 lineup in India today. The 2024 Tiger 900 is likely to be available in two trim levels: the Tiger 900 GT and Tiger 900 Rally Pro. The previous Tiger 900 Rally may no longer be available for the market. Notably, the updated models are expected to command a higher premium over their predecessors.

2024 Triumph Tiger 900: Design Updates

The 2024 model year introduces fresh design elements across the motorcycle's beak, instrument cluster area, and side panels for a sportier look. For international markets, Triumph offers three new paint schemes for each model. The GT is available in Carnival Red, Snowdonia White, and Graphite, while the Rally Pro is offered in Matte Khaki Green, Ash Grey, and Carbon Black. We expect the India-spec Tiger 900 to be available in the same colour schemes.

Further, Triumph has added a new Akrapovic silencer to the list of over 50 optional accessories available for customisation. Customers can choose from four accessory packs: Performance, Protection, Trekker, and Expedition.

2024 Triumph Tiger 900: Engine Specifications

The most significant update is the more powerful 888cc inline three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This engine now delivers 13 per cent more power, generating 108PS at 9,500rpm and a peak torque of 90Nm at 6,850rpm. More importantly, the engine provides a 9 per cent improvement in fuel economy and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

2024 Triumph Tiger 900: Features & Hardware

Another notable update for the 2024 Tiger 900 is the new seven-inch colour TFT display, inspired by its elder sibling, the Tiger 1200, with updated graphics and menu options. The display offers Bluetooth connectivity and a Type-C USB port as standard. There is also a new emergency deceleration warning system activates the hazard lights during rapid braking and automatically deactivates once the bike starts moving again.

Moreover, the brand has improved the braking system of the 2024 Tiger 900 for better control and shorter stopping distances. Other highlights include a new rider seat, a damped handlebar mounting system, and an improved handlebar position on the Tiger 900 Rally Pro, which places the bar 15mm closer to the rider.

The hardware on the Tiger 900 features Brembo Stylema Monoblock brake calipers, Marzocchi (or Showa units for Rally Pro with longer travel) 45mm upside-down forks with rebound and compression damping adjustability, a mono-shock with preload and rebound damping adjustability, multiple ride modes (road, rain, off-road, and sport), optimised cornering ABS and traction control, and ride-by-wire system, among others. The Rally Pro model additionally offers rider-configurable and off-road pro modes, a quick shifter, heated grips and seats, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
