2024 KTM 390 Duke launched in India at Rs 3.11 lakh

Austria-based two-wheeler manufacturer KTM has launched the 2024 390 Duke in India at Rs 3,10,520 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new generation model is costlier by Rs 13,000 compared to the previous one. Along with the new 390 Duke, the bike maker has also introduced the next-gen 250 Duke at Rs 2,39,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

2024 KTM 390 Duke: Design

The new-gen 390 Duke is a departure from its predecessor. It features a new design language, which is striking, sportier, and more aggressive. The key design highlights include a new LED headlight, split daytime running lights, angular fuel tank shrouds, a new fuel tank, an underbelly exhaust system, and a split seat configuration. Additionally, KTM has given it a new die-cast aluminium sub-frame, a new trellis frame, and a curved aluminium swingarm. The seat height now measures 800mm. Notably, the motorcycle comes with two new flashy paint jobs: Atlantic Blue and Electronic Orange Metallic.

2024 KTM 390 Duke: Engine

Powering the new-generation 390 Duke is a new LC4c 398.7cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. This motor makes 44.86PS of power and 39Nm of torque, a notable increase from the 43.5PS and 37Nm of torque of the previous model.

2024 KTM 390 Duke: Features and Specifications

The 2024 KTM 390 Duke gets a raft of features and upgraded hardware. To begin with, there is a new five-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, three distinct riding modes (Street, Rain, and Track), ride-by-wire, launch control, a slipper clutch, a quick-shifter, and dual-channel ABS with cornering ABS.

Further, the streetfighter is equipped with WP Apex open cartridge upside-down front forks with compression and rebound adjustability and a WP Apex offset rear monoshock with preload and five-step rebound adjustability. What is more, there is a single 320mm front disc brake paired with a four-piston radial fixed calliper, while the rear gets a single 240mm disc brake with a two-piston floating calliper.

2024 KTM 390 Duke: Price and rivals

Priced at Rs 3.11 lakh (ex-showroom), the all-new KTM 390 Duke takes on the new TVS Apache RTR 310 (Rs 2.43 lakh to 2.64 lakh), Triumph Speed 400 (Rs 2.33 lakh), BMW G 310 R (2.85 lakh), Harley-Davidson X440 (2.39 lakh to 2.79 lakh), Bajaj Dominar 400 (Rs 2.40 lakh). All prices ex-showroom.
