2023 Honda City facelift unofficial bookings open ahead of launch

Ahead of its India launch soon, select Honda dealerships across the country have commenced bookings for the 2023 City facelift. The fifth-generation mid-cycle update is likely to bring subtle changes to the design and additional features to the upcoming sedan.

2023 Honda City facelift: Design
The upcoming 2023 City facelift is expected to feature subtle cosmetic changes in the form of new front and rear bumpers. It might also get redesigned grille, headlight elements, and a fresh set of alloy wheels. Notably, the overall exterior design of the fifth-gen model could be unchanged.

Further, the brand currently offers five paint options, namely Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic, and Radiant Red Metallic. The 2023 City facelift may be available with a new colour.

2023 Honda City facelift: Interior
The interior is likely to come with a handful of changes, including a few new features. It could come with a fully digital instrument cluster, an updated infotainment touchscreen, a wireless charging pad, and ventilated front seats. Additionally, Honda may offer new upholstery.

It is believed that the 2023 Honda City facelift could be available with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) like the on-sale City e:HEV. In addition to that, the automaker is expected to bestow the sedan with a 360-degree camera and electric parking brake with auto hold. Apart from that the 2023 City facelift will continue the same features as the outgoing model, such as six airbags, TPMS, VSA, AHA, HSA, TPMS, auto-dimming IRVM, and Honda Connect connected car features with smartwatch connectivity.

2023 Honda City facelift: Powertrain
The 2023 City facelift will carry forward the 1,498cc, inline-four, naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to either a six-speed manual or seven-speed CVT automatic transmission. It is also expected to be RDE (BS6 stage-2) norm compliant. Meanwhile, this motor produces 121PS and 145Nm of torque.

2023 Honda City facelift: Variants, Rivals
While the current model is offered in three primary variants, V, VX, and ZX, the updated sedan is said to be available with a new variant. Upon launch, the 2023 City facelift will take on the upcoming all-new Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus.
