2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Maestro Edition launched in India, priced at Rs 1.51 crore
Mercedes-Benz India has updated the current S-Class's features list with the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Maestro Edition. Priced at Rs 1.51 crore, ex-showroom, this will likely be the final tweak to Mercedes' current iteration of its flagship, before an all-new generation of the S-Class makes its debut in India later this year.
The S-Class Maestro Edition has been spruced up with numerous new conveniences being added to it. The most notable change is the latest iteration of Mercedes me connect that this car debuts. The latest version of this connected-car tech brings with it Alexa home as well as Google home integration. Also new is that parking locations on-street or in mall/offices can now be navigated to via the navigation system. These features are in addition to functions already available like vehicle tracking, speed alerts, remote operation of the car's sunroof and climate control, SOS and so on.
Other new features that have been added to the S-Class Maestro Edition are the Magic Sky control panoramic sunroof that allows each of its panes to be made clear or opaque individually. Along with this, there is a memory package for both front seats, a nut-brown leather interior with diamond white bright exterior paint option and a high-gloss brown eucalyptus wood trim. Other features already available on the S-Class are the multibeam LED lights with an adaptive high beam, 13-speaker Burmester audio, electrically adjustable rear seats with reclining, massage and memory functions, front and rear wireless charging and rear-seat entertainment.
The S-Class Maestro also comes with a full range of radar-based driver assistance functions. These include the active distance control and highway braking function, steering assist, emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring. The Maestro Edition is available with the S 350d engine option. This uses a 3.0-litre inline-six diesel making 286PS and 600 Nm. The 0 to 100 kmph is 6s and top-speed is 250 kmph.
