Their first year in the racing ciruit was a fairytale beginning for any team. National champion the JK Tyre National Road Racing Championship, Indian National Rallying Championship champions and victories in the Malaysian Super Series.
Dinesh Reddy, managing director of tem Red Rooster Racing feels that 2009 would be even better and his team is ready to aim higher and bigger. “We are delighted with our performance in the last season. Overall, we had 8 wins, across all disciplines in the domestic as well as international championships. Our drivers and riders ensured a podium finish in more or less all the events they participated in. Isn’t that commendable? This year, Red Rooster Racing aspires to make a mark at an International level by extending our participation to two more events, which include Formula 2 and Formula BMW Pacific series. We are hopeful to take Indian motor sports to a whole new level,” said Dinesh at the launch of the team’s 2009 motorsport programme.
In the new season, Red Rooster Racing is further extending its commitment to the grassroots; young and promising talent for Karting has been handpicked by the team based on a host of critical parameters like driving skills, physical fitness, temperament, mechanical aptitude and age. The young team comprising of Mohit Ahuja, Chirag Malhotra, M Venkatarayadu and Arjun Maini are all set to compete in the JK Tyre Rotax Max National Championship 2009. Also a first for the team this year would be sponsoring Armaan Ebrahim in the inaugural F2 and Akhil Kushlani in the Formula BMW Asia Pacific. Multiple national champion on motorcycle, Preetham Dev Moses has also joined the team and along with K Rajni, the two will race in the FIM Asian GP. The team once again will enter the national motorcycle championship with K. Rajini, Preetham Dev Moses, Rohit Giri and Sameer Velugopalan in the line up.
