The August issue is now on stands, and boy have we got a packed issue for you!

The all-new Swift has been announced in Europe and we haven’t kept you waiting – we’ve driven it already, in Europe. The all-new Micra has just been launched, and it is certain to give the current Swift a run for its money so we got under its skin. We’ve rounded off the hatchbacks with the most powerful diesel hatch, the 93PS Grande Punto 90HP. The long-awaited Corolla diesel is here, and we've got behind its wheel to give you our impression of Toyota's first diesel sedan here.

Life on two wheels in the August issue of OVERDRIVE runs the whole gamut, from farmer’s steeds to the playthings of millionaires. We’ve ridden the load-carrying, designed-for-farmers TVS Max 4R with attachments like a 100kg load of lauki and 45 litres of milk. Yamaha's got big dreams for its small engines, and the YBR 110 commuter is their next step - is it good enough to play the numbers game? Speaking of numbers, we've pitted the Discover 150 against the Twister and Passion Pro to see if it can best them. Suzuki’s added more imports to their lineup, and we’ve tamed the 999cc, 192PS, 300kph firebreathing Suzuki GSX-R1000 superbike. We've also gone apex hunting on a CBR600RR Fireblade on a racetrack in Europe to see if the new one is all its cracked up to be.

We've traveled to our neighbour, the beautiful kingdom of Bhutan in a Swift to bring you different places on our pages. We’ve also taken to the highways of our country in a Nano as part of the Nano Superdrive that has covered the length and breadth of India. The monsoon means the Monsoon Scooter Rally and we participated this time, mainly learning not how to keep up but how to keep upright. We also attended Slush Fest for SUVs and came away just as clean after, unlike the Scooter Rally participants. OVERDRIVE is also a proud podium finisher in its class in its first rally, with Sirish at the wheel of his Cedia in the Speed INRC. Halley was navigating in another class of the Speed INRC and missed the podium in his class by a whisker.
