As expected , Honda has just launched their first two superbikes for the Indian market, the CBR1000RR Fireblade and the CB1000R. The 2009 model Fireblade (is the same mechanically and chassis-wise) as the 2008 model. But, Honda has launched the C-ABS equipped Fireblade in India - watch out for Harriet Ridley's riding impression in the March 2009 issue of overdrive. The bikes will be, as usual, fully imported. Honda has announced the prices as Rs 9.5 lakh ex-showroom Delhi for the CB1000R and Rs 12.5 lakh ex-showroom Delhi for the C-ABS equipped CBR1000RR Fireblade. Honda enters Fun biking with ‘CBR1000RR Fireblade & CB1000R’ Bikes to hit the Indian market in March 2009
New Delhi, February 27, 2009: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), the 100% owned 2-wheeler subsidiary of the Honda Motor Company, Japan – the world’s largest manufacturer of 2-wheelers, today unveiled its international “CBR1000RR Fireblade & CB1000R” in the fun bike segment. Both bikes with their fun-oriented performance are aimed at providing desired driving pleasure to the customers. Targeted towards premium customers- the sharp looks, strong performance, quality and astoundingly responsive control stakes out a new standard in motorcycle performance that will stand as a milestone in the history of ‘Fun Biking’ in India.
Priced attractively, the CBR1000RR Fireblade with C-ABS will cost INR 12,50,000/- and CB1000R for INR 9,50,000/-. Both the prices mentioned are ex-showroom Delhi.
