Indian biking reached yet another milestone with the introduction of Indian Motorcycle of the Year award, this year onwards, to honour the efforts of Indian bike makers in changing the face of biking in the country.
The IMOTY federation is a non-profit entity set up by key publications in the field- Autocar India, B S Motoring, Bike India, OVERDRIVE and BBC Top Gear, to collectively honour the most remarkable motorcycle launched in the previous year.
Loaded to the brim with features never seen on any Indian bike and shattering levels of performance, it was pretty obvious for the Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi to walk away with the title, in front of other contenders like TVS Apache RTR 160, Hero Honda Hunk and Bajaj XCD.
The jury this year comprised Rishad Cooper (Autocar India), Aspi Bhathena (Bike India), Shubhabrata Marmar (B S Motoring), Girish Karkera (Top Gear India) and Sirish Chandran (Overdrive), all of whom have paid their dues in terms of riding and testing bikes in the country. The judging took place on biking roads on the outskirts of Pune, where the bikes were evaluated on various parameters like performance, handling and the relevance of the bikes in their respective segments.
The Pulsar 220 emerged winner riding the crest with revolutionary features like fuel injection and class leading performance and equipment levels. A much deserved win for the most desirable bike of
the year.

It's the best, no indian bike till now can compite with it. All r fail in front of pulsar. Yamaha
r15 looks lik a child's bike , it's tyres r as thin as that of honda activa.

It's a great bike with stunning and eyecatching looks. Now the common bike enthusiasists like me who
can't afford to bye a sports bike can lay their hands on a bike such as the pulsar 220 which is of
international standards and is class redefined.

The new pulsar 220 with carburetor is been proved itself no 1 vs karizma zmr,apache rtr 160.
Pulsar is no1 fastest indian bike.Pulsar is 21.7 bhp,where karizma zmr is only something 17-18
bhp,so by this difference the pulsar is winner in acceleration,and top speed.The look of karizma is
quietly good but the engine cover and rear tail light area are fatty.And its headlight is not so
good compared with old model,and the exhaust is been black in colour and no good look of exhaust is
occured. But but but pulsar got the chromed type sparkling metal exhaust which increase the look
and style,its head lights projector provide the awsome light and rainbow flash.So pulsar is
awsomeeeeeeee.

Rahul varma doesn't have racing sense.He is absolutely wrong about fazer. It is not how sportive the
bike looks, but it is about how sportively we can ride.
the pulsar has a 220cc engine delivering 21ps of power while the fazer has a 153cc engine churning
out 14ps. Get the difference? Pulsar 220 has a whole 7ps more than the fazer!!! Even if you go by
engine capacity, pulsar has an engine that is almost 44% bigger than the fazer. While the fazer on
one hand struggles to reach 110 kmph, pulsar 220's top speed is 142 kmph.
for those who consider performance as well as value for money, pulsar 220 is unbeatable
i'd disqualify the fazer which would automatically make p220 the winner.

Here is the all new apache raching dna unleashed can normally beat the p220 wit same range so shut
all u r mouth's so first u ride the rtr180 then u say k..................
the new rtr has 17.3 bhp wit 180cc it's enough to beat k?????????????????
