Hornet 998C

the bigger Hornet, the new bike retains the family lines sported by the 600cc Hornet, but with a detuned, 998cc Fireblade motor completely exposed in the intimidating form of the bike, it has turned out absolutely butch.

Suddenly there’s a shift in the way we’re used to looking at Hondas. While the sedate styling would easy to ignore, the latest line-up leaves you awestruck. After the controversial CBR1000RR, the new CB1000R is a radical departure from the model it replaces. Essentially the bigger Hornet, the new bike retains the family lines sported by the 600cc Hornet, but with a detuned, 998cc Fireblade motor completely exposed in the intimidating form of the bike, it has turned out absolutely butch. Triangular headlamp with a low projector beam couldn’t have gotten more futuristic while the boxy, stub exhaust completes the solid look of the bike. The bike also gets radial calipers for the 310mm front discs and an ABS option for much needed stopping power.
