It’s probably the first time an MV Agusta hasn’t been inspired by something. In fact the Brutale has managed to inspire French car manufacturer Citroen to launch the new Citroen C2 1587 Brutale. The car was shown to the public at the My Special Car fair, one of Italy’s most important tuning trade fairs, jointly by MV Agusta and Citroën Italia. The car gets its name from MV Agusta’s iconic and best-selling naked bike and inherits the sporty scheme seen on the bike. The colour scheme of the concept car has been picked straight from the Brutale 1078RR, MV’s latest offering in the Brutale family, with the car sporting the pearl white and black colour combo carefully following the MV Agusta style ideologies. The interiors of the car again portray its sportiness with perforated alcantara seats, black leather trim, Brutale logo on the seats and the steering wheel in black alcantara, all detailed with red stitching. The dashboard and footplate are carbon fibre. Overall, the design of the interiors completely complement the aggressive racing-style of the C2 Brutale. The prototype is based on the top of the range C2, the VTS, featuring a 1.6-litre, 16-valve engine producing 125PS. The racing character is further exemplified by the Supersprint twin exhaust that gives this sporty car a rorty racing roar that completes the aggressive, brutal character. |
