Dear Friends

I am regular visitor to this website and based on comments in this forum I had bought Honda Uniocorn in the past and I am very happy about the performance. I also bought hyundai i10 by exchanging Hyundai Accent on the basis of advise I got in this forum. I got Rs. 2,95,000.00 of my old car in excahnge. Needless to say that both decisions were perfect decisions since I am very happy about Hyundai i10 and Unicorn. i10 is giving excellent mileage of 20+ on the highways and 15+ in the city drive with AC on at about 85-90% of running time. I am not too sure about the mileage of Uniocorn but I think it is more than 50 Km per litre of petrol in the congested traffic of Malad, Mumbai. No highway driving on Unicorn so I can not comment on highway mileage. The perfomance of both vehicles which I bought after going through piece of advise received in this forum is excellent and no complaints of whatsoever in nature. I am thankful to the moderators and others who put their comments in it.

Once again I have come back to you to enable me to take a decision. It goes as under -

I have a kinetic Dx which is being used by my wife for home affairs. Though I do not have any issue with the vehicle but it is 7-8 years old and my wife keeps complaining about self start not working, lights not working etc. I want to sell the same and would like to buy a new one. I am interested in buying similar product in the similar catogory. Bit confused which one to go about. My requirement is summarised below :-

Price : not a problem
Mileage : not an issue
Daily usage : 10-15 kms mostly city drive with good amount of traffic
It is going to be used by my wife who is about 39 years old.

Please advise me. Also let me know how much I should get for my old kinetic. Though the odo is not working but I think it must have not clocked more than 10000 kms. The condition is reasonably good.

Thanks once again to all the members of the forum.

Activa/Access would be the best bet.
A well built body(less plastic, more metal) and good balance supported by good service(Honda/Suzuki).

The resale of a KE-DX depends solely on how you have maintained it. Anywhere between 10-15k.

no no. not yet. activa is 6 months waiting here in mumbai and i still somehow could not zero down to access. added some more products in the list like mahindra's rodeo, hero honda's pleasure etc. bit confusing....not sure. not even getting enough support in this forum like i used to have in the good old days. seems mods are busy somewhere else.

Cracker I assume you are male and therefore advice you to not go for a bike that is advertised as being fun for women. Rule out the pleasure. The Rodeo is a good bike if you don't want to wait for a long time. I know both the Activa and the Access have long waiting periods.

No no..we were a bit busy..we're back now (see the replies :D)

Btw..the Rodeo is a nice product! Pleasure is also good....but it must be having a waiting period too! If you want to buy one quickly..check out the Mahindra Rodeo too!

I hope no one else notices this. But now that you have made it public, I guess everyone will. Crackers post was so long that I did not read the crucial middle part.

1000!

Why don't you give it to someone who needs it? :) You won't save much anyway..and someone might just get their first pair of two wheels!! It's better than selling it for a thousand bucks or sending it to the scrap yard!

Difference b/w TVS Pep and Activa
---------------------------------
a> Ask any TVS Pep owner who has owned for more than 2 years, he will never recommend one,....
b> Ask any Activa owner who has owned for more than 5 years, he will always recommend one..

TVS pep is bought by first time buyers who get 'teased' by color schemes and price tag which is lower than Activa. This scoot is not good even for an year......Activa you can glide for years and miles w/o any fuss !!
