Lotus unveil their E20 F1 car
By Team Overdrive
Team Lotus has unveiled their 2012 Formula One car, the E20. This car will be driven by former F1 champion Kimi Raikkonen and Roman Grosjean. Like team Ferrari who had their share of woes related to their car launch, team Lotus also had a similar tale to tell. Unlike the snow in Ferrari’s case, heavy web traffic caused Lotus’ official website to crash, which led the team to refer followers and fans alike to their Twitter page for the Youtube unveiling.
While Lotus has retained the gold and black theme on their car, the new FIA regulations mean that the nose of the earlier car had to be modified. Aesthetically speaking, Lotus’ engineers have done a better job than what Ferrari have done with their F2012. The E20 will hit the track on Tuesday for the pre-season testing in Jerez.
